Bid Policy
Effective Date: March 2025 | gigsmicro.com
1. Introduction
This Bid Policy outlines the rules, guidelines, and best practices for submitting bids on Gigs Micro. All freelancers and buyers must read and follow this policy to ensure a fair, transparent, and professional bidding environment on our platform.
2. What is a Bid?
A bid is a formal proposal submitted by a freelancer in response to a job posted by a buyer. The bid includes the freelancer's proposed price, estimated delivery time, and a message explaining their skills and approach to the project.
3. Bid Credits & Usage
Bidding on Gigs Micro uses a credit system. Each bid submission consumes bid credits.
- Each freelancer receives a set number of free bid credits upon registration.
- Additional bid credits can be purchased from the freelancer dashboard.
- Bid credits are non-refundable once used, even if the job is cancelled or closed.
- Unused bid credits may expire after a set period as specified in your account settings.
4. How to Place a Bid
- Browse available jobs on the Find Jobs page.
- Click on a job to read the full description and requirements.
- Click the "Place a Bid" button.
- Enter your bid amount, delivery time, and a personalized proposal message.
- Submit your bid. The buyer will review all bids and contact you if selected.
5. Bid Rules & Restrictions
All freelancers must follow these rules when placing bids:
- Each freelancer may place only one bid per job posting.
- Bids must be honest and reflect your actual skills and experience.
- Do not copy-paste generic proposals — write a specific, personalized message for each job.
- Do not include personal contact information (email, phone, social media) in your bid.
- Do not submit bids for jobs you are not qualified to complete.
- Spamming or placing bids with misleading information is strictly prohibited.
- Bids that violate this policy may be removed and your account may be penalized.
6. Bid Amount Guidelines
- Your bid amount must be within a reasonable and professional range for the job.
- Extremely low bids intended to win jobs dishonestly are not allowed.
- Gigs Micro reserves the right to remove bids that are unreasonably priced.
- Negotiate pricing fairly and transparently in your proposal message.
7. Bid Withdrawal
A freelancer may withdraw a bid before the buyer accepts it. Please note:
- Withdrawing a bid does not refund the bid credits used.
- Frequent bid withdrawals may negatively affect your profile reputation score.
8. After Your Bid is Accepted
- Once a buyer accepts your bid, a contract is created between both parties.
- You are obligated to complete the job as described in your proposal.
- Failing to deliver the work after accepting may result in account suspension.
- Payments are secured through the Gigs Micro payment system and released upon satisfactory completion.
9. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in account termination:
- Bidding with fake or misleading credentials.
- Attempting to move communication or payment outside the Gigs Micro platform.
- Offering bribes or incentives to buyers in exchange for contract acceptance.
- Submitting bids on behalf of another person or account.
